After a series of packed press days and industry previews, the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) will finally open its doors January 14, with hundreds of thousands of visitors expected during the run through January 22. In Japan, the Tokyo Auto Salon runs through the weekend.

CHICAGO (AP) — Suspended Schalke midfielder Jermaine Jones is joining the U.S. training camp ahead of friendly games against Venezuela and Panama. Jones was suspended for eight weeks on Jan. 5 by the German football federation, which concluded he intentionally stepped on the foot of an opponent.
